Does anybody use Microsoft Sharepoint, and if so have you encountered any problems with attaching files to ReACT cases?

We've recently migrated all of our users documents to a Sharepoint site from our file server and our users are no longer able to attach their files directly to ReACT cases.

If I try to attach a file to a case, I would browse through My Network Places as usual until I find the desired file within Sharepoint but upon okaying this, the file path changes to a location within my Temporary Internet Files folder.

For example, if he location of the file is: http://vip:8000/Personal/pmclellan/Personal%20Documents/General%20Docs/ASB it would then appear as: C:\Documents and Settings\PMcLellan\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KNS18DLG\ASB[1] Once saved as this, the attachment cannot be viewed.

I have tried uploading documents from Sharepoint to other places such as Windows Live Skydrive and Gmail with success so I do not think the problem is with our Sharepoint structure. So far I have only encountered the problem uploading files to ReACT.

Has anybody had any similar experiences or found any resolutions?

Hi there,

Have you tried using the URL attachment function in ReACT against the additional note? Instead of uploading the file to the server this simply stores a link in the database? Would this help?

Kind Regards,

Steve.

That's brilliant Steve, I had looked at the URL attachment function but cannot have been doing this correctly. Upon reading your reply i've looked back at this and found it works fine.

Much appreciated.
